Who we are
The Foundation
Our objective
The PERROS ABANDONADOS EN IBIZA Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in Ibiza in 2015 and registered under number 100000000352 in the Balearic Islands Registry of Foundations, carries out programs and projects, all dedicated to helping abandoned dogs and cats in Ibiza and Formentera, and is funded by financial contributions from private individuals.
We work together
We are a group of people who, recognizing the urgent needs of abandoned animals on the island, have come together to work in partnership with the Sa Coma municipal animal shelter tohelp cover veterinary expenses, provide shelter for puppies and senior dogs in need, and facilitate adoptions.
Over the years, as a foundation and as animal lovers, we have faced various challenges that have put us to the test, but we have always managed to overcome them thanks to the support of our volunteers and the work of our veterinarians and veterinary assistants.
We remain focused on our organization’s mission, and that is why we strive to find new strategies to address this challenge. We take veterinary services very seriously, which is why we help fund veterinary treatments that the administration cannot afford, so that no dog or cat goes without care.
We focus on helping
On the island, one of our biggest problems is the number of dogs that are abandoned and require a PPP (Potentially Dangerous Dogs) license in order to be adopted. That’s why the Foundation helps adopters by covering the cost of the licenses, since not only is the process cumbersome, but many families can’t afford the expenses—yet they show us that they want a dog to join their families.
We hold several events throughout the year to raise funds to help cover veterinary expenses, kennel maintenance, and license fees. Among these, we create a calendar featuring photos of our furry friends, which volunteers distribute at various locations across the island. We also hold an art auction once a year, where renowned artists donate their creations to help the dogs and cats at the shelter. With the support of the Ibiza City Council, we organize several adoption drives where the dogs up for adoption spend the day playing with people so they can get to know them.
Here at Fundación Perros Abandonados en Ibiza, we have a single goal: to do our part to make the world a better place for everyone. Ourdecision-making process is based on thorough research and data analysis, so that we can address the issues we face in the best possible way. Our goal is to build productive and lasting relationships so that we can have a positive impact through all of our activities.

What better way to help us than by adopting a dog or a cat from Sa Coma? Come meet them Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

After visiting a cat or taking your favorite dog for a walk a few times—ideally with your family (and other pets)—you’ll have a better idea of whether this is your perfect companion. We’re here to help you through this process.

Pets For Adoption
Daisy
Daisy was brought to Sa Coma in 2026, along with two Yorkshire terriers. They came from the same owner, who had to give them up. Daisy gets on well with other dogs and is a very gentle, sweet dog. Her friends were adopted very quickly, but Daisy is unfortunately still at Sa Coma, mainly because she requires a PPP licence. Will you give her a loving home? She deserves it.
Lobo
Lobo (Wolf in Spanish), a male born in 2017, arrived in Sa Coma in 2021. He is very protective, as is typical of a Caucasian Shepherd, but once he gets to know you, he is very friendly and playful. He loves baths, being scratched, and being petted. He is very calm and has a good temperament. He can be adopted without a license.
Aston
Aston is a very sweet, calm dog—a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly. He likes to play and go for walks. As an adult, he’s very calm and needs a family and a home where he can enjoy love and attention.🙏🏼🙏🏼 He’s been returned twice already because people couldn’t give him the attention he deserves. If you adopt ASTON, you’ll have a great companion by your side.🙂
Want to know how you can help us?
With your help, we’ll be able to cover many expenses, such as special veterinary treatments. We also buy beds, collars, leashes, summer awnings, and many other items. We’ve renovated the facility where puppies and senior dogs live, and we’ve built a small infirmary so our furry friends can receive better daily healthcare. We’ve been able to do all of this thanks to your donations.
