About Us

Seeking a better world for abandoned animals.
Who we are

The Foundation

Our objective

The Foundation “Perros Abandonados en Ibiza” a non-profit organisation that was set up in Ibiza in 2015 and is registered under number 100000000352 in the Register of Foundations of the Balearic Islands, develops programmes and projects dedicated to help the abandoned dogs and cats of Ibiza and Formentera., and is financed by financial contributions from individuals.

We work together

We are a group of people who, seeing the urgent needs of animals suffering from abandonment on the island, have joined forces to work together with the municipal kennel of Sa Comato help with veterinary expenses, foster puppies and senior dogs and cats in need and adoptions.

Throughout the years as a foundation and animal lovers we have encountered different challenges that have put us to the test, but we have always managed to overcome them thanks to the support of the volunteers and the work of the veterinarians and assistants.

We do not lose the mission of our organisation, and we strive to find new strategies to meet this challenge. Veterinary Services is something we take very seriously, that’s why we help to finance veterinary treatments that the administration cannot pay for, so that no dog or cat is left unattended.

We focus on helping

On the island one of our biggest problems is the number of dogs that are abandoned and need a PPP (Potentially Dangerous Dogs) license in order to be adopted. That’s why the foundation helps adopters by financing the licenses, as it is not only cumbersome but many families cannot afford the costs but show us that they want a puppy to join their families.

We carry out various activities throughout the year that allow us to raise funds to help with veterinary expenses, kennel maintenance and licence fees. Among them, we make a calendar with photos of our furry friends which are distributed around the island with the help of volunteers. There is also an art auction once a year, where great artists donate their creations to help the dogs and cats in the kennel. With the help of the Ibiza Town Hall, several adoption campaigns are held where the dogs up for adoption spend the day playing with people so that they can get to know them.

Here at Fundación Perros Abandonados in Ibiza we have a single objective: Doing our bit to make the world a better place for everyone. Our decision-making process is based on in-depth studies and data evaluations, so that we can attack the problems we face in the best possible way. Our aim is to build productive and lasting relationships, to have a positive impact through all our activities.

Want to know how you can help us?

With your help we will be able to pay for many expenses, such as special veterinary treatments. We also buy beds, collars, leashes, umbrellas for the summer, among many other things. We have renovated the centre where puppies and senior dogs live, and a small infirmary has been built so that the furry ones receive better health care on a daily basis. All of this was made possible thanks to your donations.
